Teamwork the SP Way

Staff Meetings with Reports from All Departments
We hold staff meetings every third Thursday of the month. Every employee that is not solely a field worker is required to attend. Both our president and former president attend as well. Each department gives a presentation in summary of the previous month and is evaluated by Rob. So, from HR to Sheet Metal, every aspect of our company is reviewed. It's important to us that employees are aware of everything that goes on, not just in their department.

Stressing of Verbal Communication
At every staff meeting you can document at least one instance of Rob Springer reminding his employees how crucial verbal communication is. In such a technology-dominated world, it becomes more important than ever to speak to others directly rather than relying on a computer to communicate for you. When possible, face-to-face conversing or phone calling is preferred here at SP. It strengthens work relationships and eliminates technological misunderstandings. Rob himself is a great example of this type of communication, always making his rounds through the office and getting to know everyone personally.
Company-Wide Open Door Policy
One of the unique and best things about the SP Office is its welcoming network of people. While some busy companies have offices with closed doors and appointment forms required to visit with the CEO, we don't agree with that system. You can find every office door open here. If an employee has an issue or wants to speak with someone higher up, all they have to do is walk in their office. That goes for our president's office, as well. Having such an open environment lends itself to more frequent communication and stronger company relationships, which are key.
