SP Completes Heather Hill Healthcare Building
This
summer, we've been faced with some challenging projects. It’s difficult when
you have important jobs during rainy season, but we always make it work! Recently we've been over at Heather Hill Healthcare Center in New Port Richey
repairing a damaged roof. They had two existing built-up roofing surfaces with
granulate over a lightweight insulating concrete. The owner wanted a new roof
surface that was durable, yet reflective and he decided to go with a 60 mil GAF
fleece back TPO roof system, which was a great choice.
Some of the challenges
of this project were environmental, while some were mechanical. The facility
was left open during repair, which meant that we had to ensure that the roof
remained water-tight at all times. The schedule of the work also had to be
adjusted due to outside factors. Work had to be performed early in the day in
order to beat the afternoon rain storms. Lastly, all of the mechanical
equipment needed to be brought up to code to work on this facility. All this
being said, it turned out great!
